In 2009, Michelle continues her work with San Francisco’s foolsFURY as she is directing the company’s French Plays project, translating Fabrice Melquiot’s Le Monde Inouï and collaborating on Port Out Starboard Home, a new piece being developed with Sheila Callaghan.
Michelle's work in 2008 included performing with her son, Morgan, in foolsFURY’s All You Can Eat, written and directed by Steve Morgan Haskell. She also directed Sheila Callaghan’s Kate Crackernuts at San Francisco's French-American International School.
Other recent work included continuing a collaboration with film director Justin Francis. In 2004, she had played the role of Roz, a single mom working in a brothel in the Nevada desert in his short film The Way Down. Justin built on the story of the same character for the music video of Modest Mouse’s Little Motel. The project was covered in a Reno Gazette-Journal article.
